Velleity is a word that describes the feeling behind a wish when there isn’t passion or dedication to see it through. Not having the drive to complete a dream is a scary feeling. Rather than seeing velleity as a topic of dread, I try to find the silver lining: not now, but later.
Snuggling up with a blanket with candles lit or in front of a fire ALWAYS help me relax and feel cozy. What could be cozier than doodling candles? Although I’m presently under an alpaca blanket listening to music from the ’40’s and have my fireplace on rather than candles… it still works! Winter is incredibly beautiful when captured in the right moment. Slush and snow kicked up by snowplows probably a little less than a majestic view of a great lake. My point is that timing can be everything – and when the weather is cold – how do you make sure you photography doesn’t suffer because you feel like a human icicle? Here’s what I do:
